From 4-7 September 2007 ECMWF, jointly with the UK Met Office, hosted the annual session of the Intercommission Coordination Group on the WMO Information System (WIS).
The WIS is being developed as an overarching information system for the collection and sharing of information for all WMO and related international programmes. Twenty-four delegates comprising representatives from various WMO Programmes, WMO Regional Associations and CBS Expert Teams met to review the requirements, the implementation plan and agree on further developments that are needed.
