The 20th Computing Representatives' meeting, attended by 25 delegates, focused on recent developments of the IT infrastructure and services at ECMWF and in the Member/Co-operating States and the respective plans for future activities. Specific emphasis was put on procedures for the transition from research/development to operational activities, and on the various approaches to IT contingency planning and disaster recovery.
The 16th Security Representatives' Meeting was attended by 23 delegates who had the opportunity to present the latest security-related aspects of their sites. The outcome of the IPSEC VPN tests to backup the RMDCN as well as results of IPv6 tests were presented.
