| Abstract | This document provides an annual summary of the performance of the European Space Agency (ESA) Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS) brightness temperature (Tb) monitoring run routinely at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). The period covered is September 2021 to August 2022. Several different monitoring plots are presented, and notable features are described in detail. Also, potential improvements to the monitoring system are proposed. |
